IID Tool / Faultmate

Hi folks.

Does anybody near me (sudbury / Ipswich in Suffolk) have an IID Tool / Faultmate or some such that will work on my 07MY TDV8 that I may be ale to borrow for half an hour?

Pesky TPMS warning driving me nuts when on my winter wheels!! Need to turn it off urgently! Dealer can't do it.

Cheers!

I hear your pain. Yes, I couldn't believe the dealers can't do this. I just did the TPMS on the weekend.

Non professional IIDs are VIN locked, so they can't just be borrowed. I don't know about the faultmate.

i suffered the same with my tpms telling to 'check all pressures' constantly but the iidtool turned that off and what a relief..

when you consider the fuel you might use to visit someone with a diagnostic tool and the cost to do the job it would be economically more viable to purchase a iidtool as it wont clear your tpms problem but it will clear all other errors you are bound to get in the future and there are loads of other bits you can do with it like beep on lock etc.. ... - .- -.

I had the same problem with mine.
I took it to my Indi and he just turned it off. Problem now gone.
Mine is the same year as yours so I know it can be done.

Non professional faultmates are VIN locked as well.

You'll need someone with an Autologic or VIN-free Faultmate. OEMs can't do it.

If you can hang on for another couple of weeks, our IIDTool Pro will be going into beta and I'm sure we can find someone in your vicinity who will have one. Or just purchase an IIDTool... Whistle

Some independent mechanics, with tools like the IID can do it for you. Mine was resistant in case I was ever in an accident and blamed a loss of control on poor tyre inflation. I ended up emailing him the info on how TPMS was not a required safety feature for cars in Canada. Any place where it is a requirement, a professional mechanic won't want to turn it off.

Thanks all. Very helpful.

Does anybody know whether an autologic will definitely do it? -----------------------------------------------
