Well sir, you did say you could tell instantly from the side profile

I could with the one in question - C pillars give it away. If someone has gone to the lengths to change the C pillar to make it look newer and possibly added a fake fin (that awkward 2005 year) - then it's more difficult (but the interior would give it away). Land Rover Addict

OK... It's an 06MY late model TD6 (cheaper tax "55"reg) with its original glass Thumbs Up

My point is, if done correctly you cannot tell from outside... If converting your current 3.6 for instance, with the later interior, seats, dash etc it does make financial sense to most of my customers who save between £10K & £15K on the equivilant 2010/2012 models...

We will have to agree to disagree i guess sir Thumbs Up

I cant see the difference clearly on the C pillars, I have a touchscreen TD6 and must have the C pillars you mean that are different but whats the difference ?

ooooops

I can see in Craig's pic that it looks like the pillar on the final piece of glass is inside the glass instead of outside, is this it ?

As an avid supporter of 2012 conversions simply for the joy they bring (nice looking motor for your own benefit for very little bucks) I have to say I like this one: (although I cannot live without touchscreen and prefr the look of the later mirrors)

Very Happy Thumbs Up

Loving the green 2012 facelift. Looks great Glen. Has really made me wonder whether I should have done the same instead of buying my later TDV8 and could have kept the spare £7k for fuel. Confused Ho hum

On the topic of the correct wheels, a week into FF ownership I am considering a 2010 or 2012 facelift. What are my options for the correct wheels for either year. Don't want to go oversize. Wheels on the green one look great whatever they are? AB's? Also like the ones on the gold L322 on the site banner at top of the page.

What might have been missed is the wheels were for winter tyres. Here winter can be very hard on alloys. Many people get a second set of rims for their winter tyres and usually go with "the cheaper the better." Those rims in the OP are just fine for winter and allow you to keep the age appropriate ones save and sound until spring.

^^ cheers Van,

The facelift was an easy easy decision for me as I wanted a fresh looking range that would not eat all my capital up in depreciation, the 2003 lights were all clouded and had green moss ingrained in the lenses so the facelift has made the car look and feel as good as new and as a bonus the V8 engine is a dream, I am even averaging 19mpg with a good mix of town and motorway driving. There are always people who dislike the conversion but for me it was a winner. Back to the question the wheels are from a 2012 Westminster special edition and they were purchased from overfinch.

Good stuff Glenn. Is the paintwork original on your car, looks very good for a car of that age.
