I think it is LRs sales software that is to blame, they have a whole lot of library pictures and can then change wheels types and trim to match what they are trying to sell.

And the 2010> 4.4 TDV8 have even bigger Brembo's than the 3.6 TDV8 & SC set up (so even more clearance issues) |

I couldn't agree more with the above, I only wanted a vehicle for occasional use I have only covered 3900 miles this year, I didn't not want the depreciation of a 2010+ model. I would easily have lost 5000+ per year with depreciation, my car with the facelift owes me 12,500, its a 2003 4.4v8 54000 miles I'm sure after 3 years I will get at least half that back. So for me and a few others the facelift makes good financial sense. I wouldn't have thought about doing a facelift until I saw the conversions that cam tech and gazellio had done when I was looking on this forum. Remember the world would be very boring if everyone did the same thing. Here's mine

I can fully understand why one would not want to suffer the depreciation on a newer car and therefore hold on to a good older model. That makes clear financial sense. What makes no sense to me however (financial or otherwise) is wasting thousands on changing some cosmetic bits on an already good looking car to make it look essentially the same. What's the point other than the vain hope of trying to convince others you have the latest thing when your average person will not be able to tell the difference anyway? It's never been about trying to convince anybody my car is worth more than it is, I wanted a project to play with and this came along at the right time. To be fair after having it for the last year as great a car as it is I now find myself looking for a new project to play with so you might see the car for sale on here soon and this is the biggest reason I don't waste money on cars depreciating, because I get bored to easily! But I get the point about spending thousands of pounds, but it's only a waste if you can't afford it |

Most appreciated, it was a project we worked hard on. Sorry guys for hijacking the thread. With reference to the interior of the older cars looking more dated, I think this is probably the reason why I have become a bit bored with the vehicle. I do like the creature comforts but the lack of tech does let the car down other than that it is a great vehicle. Perhaps I will have to suffer some depreciation and look to upgrade, |

Can you ? Im interested in 'how' if attention to detail has been paid to the conversion, what on the side view gives it away ? |
