^ I wouldn't say that's gospel from my experience.

I've bought two FF's now "remotely" from independent dealers - both were accurately described under close scrutiny.

My attempts to buy my first remotely from a main dealer amounted to fraud - and I don't use that word lightly.

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

I have on a couple of occasions, mainly through ebay, no money exchanged hands until in person and I made sure the car started at least but otherwise went on word of seller. One car a BMW E30 touring was such a steal I just "Bought it Now" and collected next day - turned out to be a very good car indeed!

well I should be picking the FF up this Wednesday, if all goes to plan, I will report my findings then, but so far I can only prase the dealer at the moment for getting the FF right and not let it leave with a faults that will bite them back later on. Thumbs Up

Roll on Wednesday I have a FFRR sticker to fit! Rolling with laughter If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

reason for me asking is that i am also currently looking at buying over the phone.

i am considering one of 2, either a 2007 silver S/C (R319900 / GBP20000) with 118000kms from main dealer with FLRSH or black 2007 3.6 tdv8 (R339900 / GBP21244) with 119000 from independent dealer (still waiting for proof of service history)

I had this ready on hand, http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/post189410.html#189410 and I didn't even have to ask as the dealer went through every little detail, right down to some of the smallest marks I have ever seen!

Ask as many questions is the only advise I can offer.

Good luck and keep us posted Thumbs Up If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

Judging by my experience at local LR dealer when I went to have a look at the new sport today I think you are probably best dealing with them over the phone!

I would say though that having been to BMW, LR, Audi and Porsche all today that LR was only kept from last place by the Porsche dealership who didnt seem to have noticed I was in the building! Was quite surreal.
