Hi guys! Have any of you had any experience with fitting the above?
I was thinking about one for my Vogue as it seems the most economical way to to get iphone/iPod compatibility in the FF and I get the added bonus of Hands free! £135 seems quite good!
Or has anyone any other suggestions for similar systems?

Yes, I've got this fitted in mine and its pretty good. I've used Bury handsfree kits up to now, but my FF came with the Parrot fitted and I'm impressed. The sound quality is clear and conversations are easy. Only thing I would say is make sure you get the integrated speaker cable to mute the radio and play the conversation through the front speakers. Certainly when I play music from my iphone through the bluetooth you wouldn't tell the difference between that and the stero.



I can also recommend the Bury phone systems as well for phone conversations but not for music (more complicated to install). Current Fleet:-

Another +1 for the Parrot here too - I've had the 9200 fitted in my last 4 FF's - superb piece of kit. Works a treat with Android phones and iPhones too.

I love the way it plays music perfectly just when I get in the car with the phone in my pocket - and I can play live streaming from Google Music through the system too - not just stuff stored on the phone.

That seals the deal then!! Did you guys fit yours yourselves?

Mine was in the car when I bought it. I've installed Bury systems myself and if you are reasonably good with removing trim and car electrics it will be relatively easily as the principle is just the same. You basically need to take power from the head unit and send mute signal/audio output back to the headunit. The display, mike and additional power leads are just plug and play.

To get the power and send the audio is easy - you just need to check if you need a head unit convertor cable (although I assume the RR is ISO fitting and so the Parrot should just plug straight in) - either way the cables in the box or the additional convertor cable should mean no cable splicing - its just a cable which connects into the headunit for power (and another for audio in) and you connect the original loom cables into them - the connector cable then spurs off to connect to the Parrot box. The Parrot website shows all the diagrams of how to do it and the install manuals are there too and they should tell you if you need any additional connection cables.

Probably take less than 30 minutes to connect it all up - chasing the cables and removing the trim will add a lot more though!

The trim removal won't be an issue.

I have a 2002 vogue also but I didn't think it was possible to intergrate a parrot into a vogue due to the complex wiring, amp in the boot etc.
I used a more basic parrot with a separate speaker.
If it is possible will you post a parts list

That's right you do need the 5M extension to the boot - as mentioned fitting isn't terribly hard - but to make it look OE you do need to remove a fair amount of trim to hide the wiring.

That's why I used a fitter - he's doing it all day long, has spare clips and so on for any that break while removing trim. He's also used to hiding the wiring - and to be honest, when he'd finished, apart from the new little screen next to the instrument panel, you wouldn't know anyone had done anything.

I have an iPhone 4S which connects every time automatically. Have you put the latest updates on it - there was a new update from Parrot back in May which resolved a lot of Apple connectivity issues.

The sound quality is pretty good although I will admit in bright light the screen can be difficult, but I've played with the colour schemes to find the best compromise. I do know that if the control box is buried too deep in the dash then it can interfere with the bluetooth signal. But the remote does eat batteries - I probably change it every 3 months - but I get 10 for £1.99 on eBay so always have spares in the glovebox. Current Fleet:-
