Keep a look-out on fleabay for any hybrid tv tuner with the following serial numbers:

AH42-19C063-AE
AH42-19C063-AF
AH42-19C063-AH

I got one with the AH suffix...off a 2010 RRS and it works perfectly on my MY05FFRR

Of course, we now have the hassle with the 4G signal crap-up, so I have to get the software updated...but that's covered in another thread!!

Yep,

they just plug straight in and don't need any additional wires, etc. Apparently, if you've got a good diagnostics tool, you can also set up the channels, etc. on it...at the moment, each time I go onto the TV option through the sat-nav I have to set up the channels through the 'Auto' button.

I got mine off fleabay for £260-00, so just keep a lookout for the correct numbered TV units.

I have just bought gvw's unit (cheers again Gary)
Removed leads from original unit, switched over to hybrid and hey presto digital tv.
Could not find many channels at first but drove into town let it auto tune and alls good Thumbs Up
I had been told by some auction site sellers that their non uk spec units were ok and would work, but its a £250-£300 error if they dont. (the line in their adverts that state please check part is compatible before buying..could spell trouble!! if you may try to return it?)
Glad I found an original Very Happy Now I can watch tv while mrs zet goes shopping ha ha

(not to slate all the good fleabay sellers out there, ive bought loads for my ffrr with no probs at all) Smile

This is perhaps a stupid question so please feel free to stick the boot in but does this also give you digital radio?

When I fitted a hybrid TV tuner to my previous '06 FF it didn't provide DAB radio as the radio uses a separate tuner I believe Big Cry don't know if you can replace the radio tuner with a later DAB one though, so that be an option Question Should've been old enough to know better...doh!

the hybrid doesn't have digital radio unfortunately, the dab unit on the 2009 onwards ranges wont work on the earlier ranges..
so the only way to get dab is an aftermarket unit ... ... - .- -.

No worries Jez - glad everything is ok Thumbs Up

The DAB is a separate module in the disco so assume it's the same in the FFRR
