LXV Defender

Was going to get some winter tyres for the FFRR but then my dealer offered me this. Apparently it's one of a very few made so couldn't resist it, though not sure how practical the orange-stitched embossed leather and fancy shagpile carpets are going to be...[/img]

Canada 2008 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Java Black

Sorry to go a little OT here, but I've always wondered what the new Defenders are like.

We have a few Defenders here, but they have to be AT LEAST 15 years old. Big Cry (Saw one with the NEW TD5 engine a while back. Mr. Green ) Most Defenders are a LOT older than that and have lived pretty hard lives. (Land Rover generously officially sold a whopping 25 110s in Canada but that was 20 years ago.)

What are the new ones like on road? I was in a 91 300tdi 110 SW a while back. It was slow and extremely loud and rather leaky. How do the new ones handle? Compared to, say, a RRC or a Disco1? I already know they're great off-road. I was wondering if they've been tamed enough finally for practical on-road commuting, etc.

Lovely car BTW. Thumbs Up
