Decided that we would off-load our Jaguar XF 3.0s. It's a beautiful looking car and great to drive on a nice bit of tarmac on a sunny day, but the thought of another winter with cr*p halogen headlights and 20" low profiles, coupled with the fact that end of warranty is coming up, made the decision for us.

Shock horror is that I've plumped for a '62 plate RR Sport SDV6 Luxury in Orkney Grey/ivory - and after me spending the last four years telling anyone who's interested that it's "not a proper Range Rover!"

I have to say that it really feels a very nice place to be and a massive improvement on the original Sport model that I dismissed in the past. I'm picking up on the weekend and looking forward to it. However, before anyone starts lighting the torches and sharpening the pitchforks, I can assure you that my faithful Td6 VSE is still very much with me. 131k now on a '56 plate and it's never let me down. Lets hope the baby version is cut from the same cloth!
