Make sure that you secure the gas struts when trying to put the bonnet back down, otherwise its too easy to scratch the paint. Otherwise its a 1 person job. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I wouldn't risk it on my own - get someone to hold it open for you until its fully open and then if you are outside tie to back with a piece of string as the wind might catch it!

Remove strut bottom clip on one side and while supporting the weight of the bonnet remove the strut from pin, go round and do the same at the other side, lift bonnet to the service position and lock with the tabs...Simple |

To make life easier when changing the battery and after disconnecting the battery terminals, remove the red positive cable from the bolt that goes through the bulkhead (the boly for jump starting) and move the complete cable assembly to the side |

Its one of lifes most enjoyable experiences fitting that battery its a very tight fit but its does go in. Straight forward but follow wiki guide to ensure the system has shut down fully. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

I was lazy and didn't put the bonnet in service pos and still got my 100 Ah battery in. Wasn't easy but doable and I am no big muscle monster either (just a pencil pusher office worker |

I gave up working from home as the rangy always took preference cleaning and doing bits as and when it was quiet. |
