That's one quick Merc, even if it is an older R1.

Surprised it went that far without having to refuel. |

I think the AMG cars are all pretty hectic...and a pleasure to listen too...one of our neighbours has C63 too and it sounds superb....but by his own admission if you open the taps it's a very thirsty animal ! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........ |

Absolutely mad to go that fast on those roads. I love going fast but in those conditions is totally nuts.

Fastest I've been is 167mph on a Suzuki Hayabusa. It was at Woodbridge (a decommissioned cold war runway) through timing lights, so I know the 167 is genuine. It wasn't my bike so I didn't push it.

Impressive performance from both machines however at those speeds on public roads the dangerous 'what if's' become reality.

C63 is superb , mine is year old now.. only use it at weekends or on a long journey on my own (wife hates it, prefers the FFRR or her golf), derestricted and power increase by Mercedes from new... awesome, but a handful in damp/wet conditions. put it in S+ use the paddles and away you go! keep thinking about changing it for a DB9 but.... the C63 is also practical.. |
