Dash fan fault

(It's been one of those days....)

In the rain tonight, my TDV8 started shouting to itself. No drips or anything untoward, but then I noticed an intermittent fan noise. Closer inspection proved the fan to be behind the battery, and making all the noises of a shorted out unit/wire.

I have disconnected the battery until I can actually see what's happening tomorrow - any thoughts apart from that please chaps? I see there is a relay very close to where the noise is coming from, but I have no clue if they are connected.

Ta!

Right, an update. After being left overnight with no battery attached, I reconnected it, and the fan ran for a short period of time, and then was quiet. Everything else has been normal since then, so (touch wood), it cured itself.
