I think I saw one of the members say he paid around £500 -£550 for his recon turbo. and there is a instructional post on how to change it yourself on here and the same member uploaded the video to youtube. What was wrong with your turbo? Bushy

Try doing a search for turbo refurbishment/ repair/ replacement.. Also any details on your RR? Bushy

Engine gone in limp mode loss of oil and smoking like mad. White grey smoke. Oh and main dealer charged me 400 quid for the good news. |

Turbo's contain a lot of oil, they need to as they get very very hot.. the Main Oil Gallery (MOG) is normally directly fed to the turbo. Of course if a seal has failed then parts that are not meant to have oil will fill up, however that would normally result in black oily smoke from exhaust.. not white grey.
