New owner 10 months in DAB radio now fitted

Hi hammie here
But I love it!!!!!, found this forum after being directed here from the landyzone, this seems to be pure rr so I have joined up lol, got a 03 ffrr v8 vogue about 6 weeks ago, had a lot of cars over the years, im 51 and must have owned 80 odd in that time, nearly bought a rr a few years back and the drive of it always stuck in my mind, anyway, bit the bullet and got this one, looked for quite a while, read a fair bit, and got mine, 75k miles decent history, couple of owners, stormer alloys finished in white gold with sand int, in v nice condition, almost full mot and new Pirelli tyres with a 3m warranty.
it seemed to lose water after about 1 week in, but no leaks, took it too local indie, found a fault on thermostat, cleared it and seems fine now, although not 100% sure,so it went back to dealer for a week, but lost no water??, had the steering wheel in/out pack up, on the way home, but now fixed thanks to the 3 zip tie fix, which was a relief, the fan only worked on first couple of speeds, but thanks to this forum now sorted with a new hedgehog, all speeds working now, bit of a pain to do, but sure ive saved a few bob,[which I will need lol], local indie gave it a thumbs up, but we have a little list to work through, next up will be a rear cv boot and gearbox service, pcv and rocker gaskets to be done, and may change rad/water pump and thermostat, as it will be towing a caravan next year, also want to get the door locking and mem steering wheel disabled, went out today just for the hell of it, 15 miles just to check my fan was working lol, in sport mode, 15mpg lol, oh and a towbar to be fitted

Smile

cheers, still smitten, better drive than the bmw,s, jag and merc I have owned in the past, and makes the top of the range shogun I had feel like a underpowered tractor, just hope it behaves itself to a degree, I know its had the diff mod, and a new compressor fitted earlier this year, so as you say, just a few niggles to sort, oh and a sc grille

United Kingdom 2019 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black

Welcome Hammie,

Clean looking car there. Two points, IMHO it would look better without those Range Rover Sport Stormer wheels, the L322 was never fitted with them and I think looks worse with them on, and second, there is no SC grille for the pre 2006MY facelift.

There are some nasty pretend ones but they look bad! I think 99% of members here would agree, stick to the original, it looks much neater when it's original.

Some OE LR 20" alloys would look nice on yours, the ones like this below:

 Discovery 4 HSE
1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF
1982 Series 3 Hard Top

*Gone:L462 D5 HSE LUX, L663 Defender 110 HSE, Discovery 3 HSE, 2014MY Range Rover Sport 5.0 Supercharged AB Dynamic; L405 Exec Vogue SE 4.4, 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography, Defender TDCi XS CSW, Defender TD5 HT, Vogue SE TDV8, Vogue TD6, RRSport SC 4.2V8, Classic 3.9 Vogue Auto, Land Rover Series 3 SWB

cheers rruk, although, if the stormers hadn't been on it when I got it I would have fitted some anyway, I prefer them to the oe ones, and I know it will have to be an aftermarket grille, but if you saw some of my modified classic bikes, you would know I don't do standard lol, whole family out in it today, wife drove it for the first time, [shes no sissy as she has a saab aero herself] she was a bit wary of the size and being an auto to begin with, but after about 5 mins, I was just watching the av fuel cons going down as she was booting it along saying, this is lovely, and doesn't it go well!!!! lol

Hi welcome to the forum Thumbs Up Personally I like the wheels (certainly better than the early L322 options). If you like the aftermarket Supercharged grills go for it, its your car Smile You might want to look at Supercharged rear lights and side vents too Thumbs Up Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White
Gone: Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue, Zambezi Silver, Charcoal Oxford Leather

A pic of mine with a upgraded grille.
I know many won't like it but I love it, it freshens the front up without spending thousands. Paid about £100 from eBay.
I have kept the original just incase a buyer wants original when I come to sell.
