Weird Air con behaiviour

Firstly the centre vents now never come on, Not even if i select them on the dash (they've only worked on the rare occasion they decide). The rear vents however do work fine.

Secondly now when cold is selected its blowing red hot air onto my feet??????

I'm thinking it either needs a re-gas to sort itself out or the final stage resistors given up the ghost.

Any ideas ???

The final stage resistor controls the fan speed so this won’t be your problem in this case. I would have thought it would be one of the motors in the heater unit have failed or is slipping. It could have just got itself confused, I think there is a reset procedure you can do via testbook/rovacom which may be worth a punt first? Take a browse through RAVE on the HEVAC system and how it works etc to get a good overview and work out with your symptoms where your problem lies.

Certain parts you can replace by just taking the kick panels out, but anything major and you may be looking at dash removal, which is quite time consuming and will get expensive if you’re paying to have it done.

I can recommend a good guy to re-gas your A/C if you want his number.

Yea PM me his number please.

Had a long journey this weekend and the aircon worked fine initially, Then after the dial was moved blew boiling hot air into the passenger side whilst ice cold drivers side.

On the way home it worked fine again and even the centre vents blew out ice cold air.

So i'm stumped! TDV8 HST Sport **Current**

Absolutely no part of that is due to low gas.
