England 2005 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Buckingham Blue
Terraclean

This subject always appears to stir strong emotions, so I share it purely to help those who, like me, have been intrigued.

Not wishing to risk my RR, I took the wife!s Espace 3.5V6. This is a very smooth, quick car and I deliberately took it after a service, so everything was in reasonable order.

Since the operation, the patient gas been very perky. Still smooth and quick. Notable differences are three:

1. Remarkably quicker on the uptake
2. Mpg 2-3 mpg better
3. Emissions levels better, allowing for a few percentage points difference between different testing machines before and after

The mpg has no placebo effect as the car is only driven and fuelled by the wife who does not know anything about the Terraclean (nor does she care as long as the wireless works).

So, all in all no surprises. Slight improvements as you would expect after a bit of a decoke for a 160k car.

£108 for a 4.2 ? Well, that sounds OK, but as I said, the mobile vans on ebay state max 2.0L so I assumed more expensive for larger engines.  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition

That 3.5 v6 engine isn't half bad for a Nissan lump and is fitted in some rather nice other vehicles Smile not many espaces rolling around with them in as most at dv6 or dci units waiting to implode Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

OK, had the Terraclean done. Firstly, the guy at Queenshill Garage, Newport, Gwent was great. Explained the process and was very enthusiastic about the whole thing. Started engine, put my hand on exhaust outlet and told me to 'sniff' and smell the fuel. An hour and half later I returned in time for him to fire up the engine - and an atom bomb like cloud of black soot came out of both exhausts ! Then a quick sniff of the fumes - Clean ! At first, couldn't tell any difference in performance, but after a while, it's the little things you notice. Not have to touch the accelerator pedal too much on take off, smoother acceleration and smoother sounding engine. Not tested the MPG yet, but since there's less un-burnt fuel coming out of the exhausts, I'll assume it'll be an improvement. Very recommended procedure to get done.  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition
