Returning the car this afternoon, I will relay what you said.
He is sure that it the "valve block" sticking valves or something, he has priced it up as 378+ vat + shipping,+ 4 hours Labour, looks like another big bill coming, wish I'd have bought a VW now.

The big bill hurts only once, driving anything but a FFRR hurts every time you drive/see/hear the car Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Just heard back from my guy, he stripped the compressor to examine it before ordering a new one, he found that a brass cast filter was partially blocked, he has cleaned and refitted it, and at the moment the suspension is operating normally again.
He would of liked to replace the filter with a new one, but apparently, land rover only sell a complete compressor, and not a service kit.....does anyone know differently?
Lets just pray that this is the end of my problem!

I have just started getting an intermittant 'BONG - Suspension Fault - Normal height only' fault. It seems to occur when braking slowly & turning right. I have had the compressor serviced with the kit and a new copper thingy put on.
When re-cycling the ignition it disappears for a few days....

My guy has cleaned the filter with airline and brake cleaner, and now suspension is working ok again, no faults.
We are collecting it again this afternoon, will keep.you informed.
Couldn't get hold.of Duckworths on Friday, shall try again tomorrow, no-one seems to do a service kit for these, just a complete compressor.

Contact Meerbusch on the forum here. Uli does complete refurb kits and is in Germany so postage should be low. Also he has a lot of experience ie support Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Hallo ebajema, first many thanks for your recommending of my products and my person, very proud! But sorry, my kits are not more available, sold about 400 of them around the whole world, now I have only some for me privat, because I have two RR and one Cayenne 2004 for me private to drive. At island4x4 they have a good Price for new complete compressors, I believe 230GBP, and for the old one you always get 30 GBP from me, so you have to pay 200GBP. The Problem is also very often the pressure sensor in the air-reservoir, and of course first and old struts, which are not 100% perfect in the connection. We will see, because it is often very difficult to decide and give instructions from a distance of 1000 miles. A friend of mine has in Nigeria a great carbusiness, mostly bullet proofed cars (armoured in B6/B7, like this one from me: http://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/bmw-7...res=EXPORT , I make often business with him, he is often in London..., best regards, Uli L405 SDV8 2017 + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021

Just to update
Replaced brass exhaust filter, and this seemed to cure it for a few weeks...then problem returned.
So.....bit the bullet and replaced compressor pump [new model totally different than the original] had all air lines blown through, and at the moment all is good.
The replacement pump, original Land Rover was £736 + Vat and shipping!!! all in, it has cost me 1200+ euro`s
Fingers crossed this is the end of it

Hi,

Just read your thread and wanted to share my expierence with the exact same problem. If your problem does come back check the cables to the suspension potentiometers. There is a range rover bulletin about this fault (sorry don't know the number). Especially the rear potentiometer cables where they pass through the body shell. Over the years the cable rubs through and starts giving intermittent suspension faults as the potentiometer goes to ground. There are access holes under the back seats.

same issue here for the last 3 weeks .
last week she went into limp mode and collapsed on the way to the dealer , thankfully just 3 miles away.
NSF height sensor was faulty.
replaced and all seems well.

Im my case the height of the car could be changed. it did not take the compressed too long to raise or lower height and cut off at the correct time. so i did not think it was a compressor issue. 2011 4.4 TdV8 Nara Bronze
