Just tap out the spring clip in the hole in the side of the top blue cradle on the end of the shaft.

or the extra money you get a bottle jack with a flat top, use the adaptor as required, and then you can use the bottle jack for other purposes as well...... |

But if you fit the adapter with a removable pin and keep the head you removed from the jack in the first place you can refit it at will to use elsewhere. |

Piece of stainless steel rod of suitable dia, 4mm will suffice, bend one end into a finger loop, cut to length and voila, removable pin. |

Yes, just rec'd delivery of one of these. It works a treat. Original flimsy scissors jack is just too dangerous and liable to distort and collapse when extended unless you are on solid level ground with wheel chocks firmly in place Current:- TD6 HSE Past:- Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited CRD x2 Jeep Cherokee Limited TD x1 |

I bought a simple bottle jack with a small round disc on the top and drilled out a circular recess (approx 25mm in diameter) from the base of the aluminium Mini/BMW adaptor so that the disc on the top of the jack sits fits in the recess. If I was really keen, I could drill a hole for a grub screw with a wing nut on it, but does not seem necessary.

Original Sprinter pin knocked out easily with a small Allen key and a hammer leaving the jack shaft looking as per the below picture (apols if picture upside down/ iPad).
