Yep, it's still happening to my FF. Went from Lazonby to Chorley today (about 1hour 30 mins drive) and it did it twice...once on the radio and once on the CD Player. Then when I got home tonight and went out for a run it did it again on the CD.

Been going on for the last six days now...weird!! Twisted Evil

Could be a freak coincidence but after having these symptoms last week, today, I got a red battery warning light on dash, then various system failiures, trans fail safe and finally complete shut down!.

Possible alternator or junk battery?.

According to the technical program, my battery was 10 volts but could not start to see if it was charging.

Damn these "Semi Skimmed" range rovers!. "I got him boxed in like a turtle's pecker!".

Hi all,

I've come over from the Evoque side and thought I'd let you know my findings and a workaround until the problem is fixed.

It appears that this issue is likely related to the Digital Channel Updates sent out to air on 27th August.

It seems that the DAB/DVB module is resetting which is probably due to the channel update data not being compatible with the firmware (or even hardware).

To confirm, I changed the settings on my Digital TV to United States, of course, this renders the TV useless, however, as it's now not receiving any over the air Digital data, the problem has gone.

For those that haven't got a TV and still getting the problems, it could be your DAB module having similar issues, try changing the DAB country settings and see if this also fixes. Of course, this means that your DAB won't work either.

Craig Rogers

Just been informed by the dealer who has had my car today and have been in discussions with JLR confirm what Craig said that it is probably an issue with the DVB/DAB module. No solution yet.

Or aliens.

some who have had problems dont have dab in their ranges..

another twist, i recently had a filter stuck through the letter box for my freeview tv ariel ..its to filter out the LTE signals which operate on the 800mhz frequency which is very close to the normal tv frequency...
now i believe frequency harmonics can interfere with radio signals and that would bring it down to 100mhz which is around the classic fm station..

any thoughts from someone who knows about radio stuff? ... - .- -.

Thanks for all the responses guys.

Mine actually stopped doing this Sunday and has been fine until once this morning at 07:00ish.

Stan: interesting you say the 4G thing as that was one of my thoughts on the day it started, as that was Vodafone & O2 4G switch on day too.

Thanks for poppin over x-isle, food for thought too. Thumbs Up
