Strange things occurring! intermittent audio drop outs

Listening to the radio on the way to dealer for service and all goes quiet for a couple of seconds then sound returns. Happened a couple more times. I assumed interference in the area. Anyway, on the way home later it happens again and again and again. In fact every 30 seconds!! Real annoying.

I tried CD and the same thing, and TV. The power LED goes out at the same time, and buttons disappear on screen as well.

So I rang dealer this morning. Imagine my surprise when I was told I was about the 25th person to have the same fault today Exclamation Exclamation Happening with all vehicles in range not just fullfats Shocked

They think maybe atmospherics, I doubt that with power going off and on.

This is in Bournemouth/Southampton area

Any ideas Question anybody got same problem in other parts of the country Question

You guys in UK are too much involved in helping NSA with PRISM system . ....

No wonder it finally backfires on the radio waves .....

Really strange, I had this yesterday at around 10:30 am in South Wales. Happily listening to the radio, then, all of a sudden, no sound and I noticed the power LED flashing, then the sound and everything comes back!. Weird stuff. "I got him boxed in like a turtle's pecker!".

This is right weird, cos my radio/cd has been doing the same thing for the past two days. I'll be driving along with the cd playing, then the power cuts off, the cd goes quiet and the in-car phone beeps as if it's been taken out of the cradle. Ten seconds later everything springs back to life!
It's happened at least five times in the last two days, without any reason!!

Maybe, with the amount of ECU's, BCU's and computers on board...the FF's are becoming self aware, Terminator Style - Rise of the Full Fat's.

My FF has been doing exactly that for 2 days now too, did it just the once on the way in to the office this morning but every couple of minutes yesterday. All very odd. Going to try again tonight without Bluetooth connected but any suggestions/ideas welcomed

Well in the news this week scientists have 'grown' brain tissue from stem cells. Maybe Range rovers are, like Discologger said, are becoming 'self-aware'!! Maybe after the takeover of LR by TATA they are developing 'Skynet'!

This happens with my wife too - she can be talking to me when I suddenly can't hear her anymore, as I think about other things, then after what seems like a few minutes I can hear her voice again...........
