Just noticed that the rubber seals at each side of the glass on the rear tailgate are bubbling at the bottom.


This looks like a finishing trim strip and seems to be just the alloy within it that has corroded.

Tried and failed to find a part number for this - anyone experienced anything similar - and are they easy to change?

Mine were replaced by the MD under the corrosion warrenty. Better to be irresponsible and right, than to be responsible and wrong.

I had mine replaced under warranty a couple of months ago. No hassle from the dealer. Current MY2020

Same here - had this on my MY11 car and had it replaced by the dealer under warranty. no fuss or questions, so clearly a known problem MY11 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - "African Queen"

Mines the same, looks horrible, I will expect it to be replaced when it goes in for its pre warranty expiry inspection. 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

Yep - 1961 Series 2 Landrover - but only use it locally.

As my MOT tester said ....'well it's passed .... But I wouldn't want to drive it far!'

Mine have gone too, distorted and pulling away from glass. Mine is going tomorrow to have upper lid replaced due to rust on the entire seam and pointed out the trim. As they have to remove the rear screen, were happy to replace seals during this process.  TDV8 Vogue SE 2009.

The anti-corrosion warranty is 6 years, so it should be covered. I got my '08 done earlier this year. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Just popped outside to get a couple of pics to verify if this is what others are getting. Looks like thee is a load of grit inside the n/s one where it has split?
