Wheel wobble

Does anyone have a cure for a quite harsh wheel vibration at around 50mph on a 2010 Sport?
22" wheels (genuine) no dings or dents, tried new tyres and balanced numerous times. Feels better initially after balancing but then returns.
Also my front brakes bind when hot. This has been back to dealer numerous times. New master cylinder, brake switch adjusted, servo rod adjusted, brake fluid renewed new discs and pads. Still does it. Normally after stop start driving and 'lifting' the brake pedal seems to cure it. It's driving me mad!
Thanks

Mmmmmmm this is a funny one. The brake link may be something. I remember a friend of mine had issues with an ABS ECU that was going haywire and started "applying" the brakes. Maybe that is what is happening to yours.

I suggest to ask your dealer to do a firmware upgrade of the ABS ECU, check the ABS module itself and see if anything pops up in that route of investigation. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Sticky brake caliper, mine did exactly this, touch the wheels after a run, if its hot, caliper stuck.

If the calipers haven't been changed yet (I assumed they had) then that is indeed the first point to check. RRs have a tendency to have their calipers binding. Mine has both rear calipers changed (common issue on SCs it seems). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Calipers have not been changed but are perfectly free. Both front brakes are getting equally hot. When the brakes bind you can release them by lifting the pedal. when the brakes are not binding there appears to be adequate free play in the pedal. I should add that I am a trained Mechanic and own a garage. We don't see too many of these but the conclusion we came too was that it must be the abs/stability control bringing the front brakes on. I really did think the dealer would of pinpointed the fault straight away but not so. The last set of pads lasted 3000 miles. This gives some indication of the extent of the problem. Thanks for the advice guys.

Keep us posted on what you find and how it was resolved. Looks like the ABS or HDC acting up indeed. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
