I asked Guy Salmon, Thames Ditton, Surrey, to turn it off when it was serviced, they said it couldn't be done ? but, it would not fail the MOT due to the 'intermittent warning light/message. |

A word of caution, if the car was first used on or after 1 Jan 2012 the TPMS system if fitted is testable as part of an MOT. ie the warning light has to operate correctly and not show a fault. |

I don't see how that can be tested by an MOT tester, since, once it's been disabled, there are no indications of any kind. Even when it is enabled, I don't recall there being an indication when the car's switched on, but I could be wrong. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

I was told last week by an MOT tester that VOSA have changed their minds again and TPMS warning light was now just an advisory (again) Mike

It's still listed in the MOT Inspection Manual as a testable item. |

If the valve stems are corroded, change them ASAP. Corroded valve stems will not be causing the error, but they could snap off with minimal effort (e.g. checking the tyre pressure as they did on mine). If the valve stems are corroded, it may be worthwhile raising this with your local dealer - mine were replaced no questions asked, even though the car was out of warranty.

They are getting them replaced, but not with TPMS valves. It's a late 2007 tdv8.
