Hi all
this has been happening for the past few days, intermittently, some trips nothing comes up.
Car seems to sit nicely after being left overnight, so I don't think that it's a leak.
Fortunately it hasn't gone into "limp"'mode yet, although today it showed do not exceed 30mph
Any ideas what to look for?

That's what I first thought Stan, so I charged battery up, seemed ok ,...until the next day.
Just spoken to my local Indy, he said it could be water in pump, or the pump valve etc etc.
Told me not to use it until he can run diagnostics, which is a real pain as its the wife's car really.
While he has it, I'm getting him to change all fluids, and service it, another big bill coming my way.

you will need to do a drop test on the battery to see if its holding its charge..

have done anything to the wheels lately as a faulty/broken abs sensor gives that warning as well.. ... - .- -.

How do I drop test battery, and also test abs sensor...did have rear drivers side wheel bearing replaced about 2 months ago.
Got it booked in for next week with my Indy, ex LR tech, he seems to know what he's talking about.

a drop test involves putting a drain on the battery equivalent of all the lights on, the a/c on etc..the dealer should be able to that..

afaik, there are 2 abs sensors , 1 on the near side front and the other on the off side rear and if one has been disturbed then that could be the reason for the intermittent error..

I used to get it a lot, changed air suspension pump (surprisingly not as expensive as I thought) and it stopped, not been a problem since.

For what it's worth, my view would be to get ot checked out ASAP. I've recently had exactly the same experience - i.e., the dreaded bong and 'Suspension Fault' message flashing up from time to time. As the car seemed to be driving ok, I didn't worry too much, but took it in to my guy at the end of the week.

He wouldn't let me drive it away and changed the air spring strut same day - said there was a danger of it otherwise going with a 'bang' at some point.

Got to go out in it tonight, it the only car big enough. Will be wondering now whether we get home ok, it's only about 15 mile round trip.
Booked in for Monday, 45 miles away, although I must say I've had the battery on charge all last night, and done a 15 mile.round trip.today, no faults come up, also have ordered a new battery, might as well be sure that we have good one for the winter.

If it makes you feel any better, I probably did 300+ miles in it with the message come up every now and then. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Surely more likely to be an alternator issue than battery issue?

Putting a freshly charged battery on will mask a failing alternator for a while, then the symptoms will come back.

Easy for the Indy to check alternator output. That and reading the error codes should bring you a lot closer to a final diagnosis!

Right....Indy had the car for over a week while I was back in the UK
He checked everything, changed battery, reset faults etc. His conclusion; possible fault with canbus system, and to make sure that we use the access mode at least once a fortnight, something to do with ecu forgetting set heights or something, I don't really understand. He also changed all oils, gearbox, engine, transfer box and diff`s, filters, etc.
Anyway collected car, drove home, now have a humming noise at 50+ mph, could be wind noise, not sure, it didn't do it before.
Next day, wife goes shopping, I get a phone call....she is stuck in the supermarket car park!!
She says it come up "suspension fault", and then "do not exceed 30mph", and so she parks car and goes shopping, comes out loads shopping, gets in and....the bloody key won't turn!! Any way I turn up, disconnect the battery, do hard reset, the car then started, and I drove it home, it pings "suspension fault" switch off, restart, and its ok again.
Spoken to Indy, and he is very apologetic, and wants me to return car for further investigation.
Any ideas, what is causing this guy's?

Just spoken to my guy again, he is now on about changing the valve block on the suspension, any thoughts?
Just had a play about with the car, and when you press access, it goes up into off road mode!

I had a very similar experience to yours, have you had codes read?
I had an error regarding the gallery venting - sorry cannot remember the actual code, but this was a very simple and very cheap fix, less than £15 for a compressor exhaust filter which I bought from Dan.
