My FFRR was a 50th b'day present to myself, bought this year, so I do feel old, but then I reckon some of you are telling porkies!

Like other posters, I work in Property - I'm a Director in a large Property Consultancy, so know how much people in the industry get paid..... a 23 year old qualified BS who can afford to run a FFRR - really?? Lucky you mate, you must spend all your hard earned on it and good on ya! At 23, I had a massive overdraft and was skint all the time. My car at the time was a leggy Triumph Acclaim, bought off the fleet of my dad's company at trade price of £900. I could barely afford to run that and dreamed of owning a RR (I did get to drive the old man's though, a Monterverdi customised Vogue 4 door)

Yes although things in Scotland certainly seem to be picking up in the BS field (we have a lot of work in Aberdeen Thumbs Up) The FF's a lovely motor always loved them. Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White
Gone: Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue, Zambezi Silver, Charcoal Oxford Leather
Also: Mk1 Audi TT 1.8T Quattro, Brilliant Black

nearly 47 but still doing things I'm probably too old for....... kitesurfing, kite buggying, snow boarding - absolutely biggest thrill of my life to date was heli skiing in canada a few years ago, was 2nd oldest in the group by at least 20 years, but I had an absolute blast!

Maybe maturing years but finally worked out that I could buy my 2003 FFRR for considerably less (ie half the cost) than the first year depreciation alone on my previous brand new x5's and the like. Everyday car now is a new volvo v40 that is fully loaded (was an ex volvo demo so has everything on it), always gives me over 60mpg, no road tax and dirt cheap insurance. Reckon got the best of both worlds now.
