Thats quite a wood pile there! You have a log horse as well or buy it already split?

It's not slate. Not sure what stone it is but it's nothing that special. I had a plinth cut for me when I put the wood floor in of a similar stone but I can't remember what stone it is.

Well, got it home. Had to put up some special bracket to make it fit - still temporary until I cut some plaster board and paint it up.

I really like those ones. I was tempted to get one but at the end of the day I thought it just didn't suit where I wanted to put it. I know they can kick out an awful lot of heat and are very efficient. |

I have also recently taken the projector bug. They seemed to make sense when you think a 40" TV cost the same as a 250" projector.

My house doesn't accomodate a room or wall with a projector, but I can squeeze in a 50" plasma and have got a great surround system, watching films is brilliant.

I play all my stuff through a laptop, but it goes from the laptop to a proper amp via HDMI and then HDMI to the projector. I then get great sound. |

A friend of mine, who works in a primary school, was "given" 2 projectors that were being replaced. They have regular parties outside and use the projector to show music videos on their neighbours house wall. It's not brilliant quality but good enough when you have had a few!! Previously..

Modern HDMI amps are great for this kind of thing as they will strip the sound off and still send a cracking picture through |
