Rear Wiper Arm Removal - How To ?

I may be making a "school boy error" here, but I can't remove the rear wiper arm . . . It appears to be a bit more than an interference fit - Any tips ?

I need to take it off to sort the washer nozzles out. After having discovered water is rushing to the in line one way valve (which is U/S) and there's no problem at the motor, it looks like the nozzles are blocked. The "poke it with a needle" method partially worked on one of them.

Any tips gratefully recieved - I don't want to break the rear glass !

it is an interference fit on splines so yours sounds like its stuck...you could use a wiper removal tool or persevere with a bit more grunt.

Ta, Stan - I've whizzed the roof spoiler off, so access is best. But I don't like the idea of alot of force with all that glass around Shocked

We'll see if anyone else has a eureka idea . . .

You'd be amazed how capillary action will suck it up into the splines, and it's easy to clean the glass afterwards. Discovery 4 HSE

Just done mine, it'll take a bit of brute force ! Keep your eyes peeled for the plastic nipple that sits in the hole, mine fired off down the drive , put it all back together and the water was peeing out fro the spindle.

Poweruk havee a good tutorial on the tube, worth a look. Laying in hospital too lazy to dig out. Link, easy fount though, showschow to remomo er spoiler as well. 0-60 takes 5 and a half seconds...and about 17 gallons of fuel....

Excellent advice on here (as usual).

Watched the PowerUK video, pulled the plastic cap off, and mine was pretty much gunked from the NRV to the nozzles! Fortunately after half an hour with a needle, hot water, compressed air aerosol, both jets are now functioning perfectly. Top tip, a used beer bottle and some gaffa tape make a suitable container to convert this into a single handed job as it was ‘too cold’ for the Memsaab to come out and help.
