Locking after moving off and remotely opening windows on fob

A while ago the remote window and sunroof opening facility worked using my fob but today it didn't.

Also I noticed that when I took the key out of the ignition 10 minutes later the drivers door failed to unlock automatically. Recently the doors were set to lock on moving off and until today the drivers door has always unlocked on taking the key out of the ignition.

The two things must be linked and I'm wondering if a fuse may have blown somewhere. Does anyone have any experience with the central locking system and remote window operation?

Any help would be appreciated. 2009 Vogue TDV8 Nara Bronze

I set mine to lock after driving off using RSW allcomms. It doesn't open on taking the key out though. I'd be interested in having that function

There are settings in the CCF that allow for lock on drive-of (and you can even select certain speeds) and unlock on removing the key etc.. You need a Faultmate, IID, T4 Testbook etc. tool to do that (not sure about the capabilities of them apart from the Faultmate).

Mine had the same funny change overnight behaviour where the door didn't lock by itself in the beginning and started doing it after a while.

Note that if one of the door closing switches isn't working properly, the electronics won't allow the locking to work so that could be part of it and the interior lights stay on (as the car thinks one of the doors is still open). Or a fuse indeed (test central locking with key in the door or the switch on the dashboard).

It would help to have someone with a diagnostic computer to have a look at the settings to see what your settings are and maybe change them. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I have used my IID Tool to change the "speed rlated locking" after finding the right key and set "single point entry" but I dont think it allows for unlock on key removal? unless it is on "Lazy unlock from door key" See below.

I would be interested to know where the acutal speed setting for loacking is located?

I haven't got any experience with the IID, I use the Faultmate for all my changes. I set it at 8 mph. From memory (I haven't played with the Faultmate for a long time now) you can set it for 0 (when you select drive it locks the doors), 4, 8, 12 etc. Works like a charm on mine.

Looking at your listing I suggest to try Speed related locking key 1 thru 4 but maybe contact the guys from Gap and ask them for advice, they are the specialists Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

''Lazy unlock from door key'' suggests that turning the key in the door does the lazy unlock.. ... - .- -.

Sounds like it lost the settings. Suggest to get someone with a diagnostic compu to set them again. Or did you change keys in the mean time ?? Not all keys have the same settings. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
