Hi all, I am just about to replace a small section of inner wing on my S/C using mig/ spot weld, I haven't done any car welding for years but back in the day, we used to have concerns that electric welding could damage ecu,s etc and I always unplugged the Engine Ecu - keeping in mind that in those days, that would be the only ecu on the car!

I had a look in Rave, it doesn't mention any concerns, so am I worrying for nothing?

Range rover ECU's can be very sensitive,

I would recommend disconnecting the battery, leave 10 minutes, then unplug the engine & BCEM as a minimum

Don't forget to go lock to lock on the steering when you put it all back together to reset the TC/DSC 56 TDV8 Vogue SE
