Every single car through the ring tonight hasn't even made bottom book. Best case 12-13k but not my money hard for guys to really see hidden issues with a range just on a quick pass. Saying that an 03 went for 7900 so you never know. Smile Range Rover SC 35th Anniversary 2006

Don't think it's overly expensive. Looking at completed listings on eBay they are selling for around 17k in auction on there. My Previous RR's!

Never made the money it looks like... What's the deal with rust on tailgate and wheel arches... An 09 plate in my opinion shouldn't have this.. Would that not be under warranty? Range Rover SC 35th Anniversary 2006

It will have rust i bet but outside of the warranty now isn't it or there will be a wriggle out of it if annual body inspections haven't been done Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I find that absolutley disgraceful for a 70k motor!

Update on the tdv8...the auction house informed me there is a bid on the car but it was being sold as a "non-runner" becacuse it was running smokey?

bloody hell! prob bidded 6k Smile Range Rover SC 35th Anniversary 2006

If its smokey its still worth a punt under £10 as a full engine with bits is about £3.5k fitted normally but i'd bet it was a turbo more than likely with a blown oil seal just weeping into the exhaust. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

You think? Not too commit how much to repair?

Car needed bonnet respray, and front bumper. tailgate had bad rust bubbling so that would also be required. apart from that and the "smokey" engine it was being sold as a non runner and i think it would be easily under 10k Range Rover SC 35th Anniversary 2006

Well even on fleabay the going rate for a recon engine being fitted is £4k.

So factor in another £1k for the bodywork then you have spent out £15 on the car. How much would it retail for at current milage and in good condition?

If you got it for less then even more quids in. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

OK well last night all things considered with no engine issues the car would have made around 12-13.5k as it CAP'd at 14k (bottom) and that reflected the condition of the car.

take away 5-6k for engine and bodywork and anyother niggles and i think you would be looking at £6-7k for the car?

remember is a 150k car and will have next to no appeal on a garage forecourt leaving just private buyers i suppose.

I am eager to know what bid was left on the car which is still pending.... Range Rover SC 35th Anniversary 2006

If you wanted to make a profit from it then yes its more likely a breaker at that kind of money, but if its one you would run then an engine swap would at least get you 3+months warranty on the engine Smile Do a gearbox flush and filter change and that should be ok for a good bit as well.

If you co some bits as you went along and kept it as your own car it would be worth it IMO if everything else on it looks decent enough.

Have you thought about just speaking to the auction house and asking what the offer on the table is as and saying your asking as your possibly interested in it? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
