It is possible thst the finance companies havent updated records accordingly and may take a period for the credit reference agencies and Hpi to get the truly latest info - It can somtimes take months so i wouldnt be surprised if it sorts itself out - there Kin a bit of comfort that Mick couldnt provide Laughing Whistle

I was always told if you want sympathy and comfort call a girlfriend if you want reality and a solution call a man Laughing

I'll get on the blower first thing tommorrow morning and ask for an explanation. If I had not done the HPI, everything would be hunky dory, have to admit the dealers been exceptional both in sales and aftersales...
But I did the check, and now I'm sick with worry, until HPI told me its all clear!!!

The reality of the whole thing is slowly sinking in, I could lose my car, and end up with driving a bloody Corsa Big Cry

I am sure it will resolve itself - ultimately the dealer would not intend to sell a car with outstanding finance on it. One of the reasons people buy from a main dealer and pay a premium is for the reassurance that the car has been checked over and there are no evident problems etc. Otherwise they may as well just buy out privately.

I am sure it is an admin error. You dont need to look at the Vauxhall Corsa brochures Shocked

Have you double checked the VIN against yours, might be his new car with the old private plate on that has got the finance on it now.
