I'll get on the blower first thing tommorrow morning and ask for an explanation. If I had not done the HPI, everything would be hunky dory, have to admit the dealers been exceptional both in sales and aftersales...

I am sure it will resolve itself - ultimately the dealer would not intend to sell a car with outstanding finance on it. One of the reasons people buy from a main dealer and pay a premium is for the reassurance that the car has been checked over and there are no evident problems etc. Otherwise they may as well just buy out privately.

Have you double checked the VIN against yours, might be his new car with the old private plate on that has got the finance on it now. |
