i went to a alloy shop and asked for advice on the biggest size i could put on my vogue.

the gentlemen advised me on the maximum size of 22" as he claimed that there had been records of larger sizes having an affect of "rocking" the car when in stand still.

i wanted to get potentially chrome 24's.

what do you guys think?????

I think almost everyone on here would advise you not to go for 24" wheels on the basis they are far too big for the car, not intended to go on the car out the box and affect the ride and handling massively.

Some people go to 22", most notably the Overfinch Tigers or Supersports. Having used the FFRR with 18, 19 and 20" wheels I can say from experience that as you get larger in wheel size, the ride is worse, vibration is increased (on diesels) and generaly the handling is not so good.

Also, be aware of the fact that aftermarket wheels may not be manufactured to take the strains and forces of a 2.7tonne RR and therefore safety issues can come into play, plus it will affect your insurance premium and cost you more!

So in summary, my advice is steer clear of them.

hector, the best all-round compromise for comfort, looks, steering performance, not compromising the vehicles off road capability and replacement costs has got to be 19", to some 20" look nicer but are more vulnerable to curbing and off road damage. If you are just sticking to paved areas in London and not mounting curbs then go for 20" - avoid anything over 20" imhe the ride is diabolical and it leads to horrendous wear on steering and suspension compnents

I have a few RR's which are used as god intended - and they are shod with max 19", anything more gets damaged whether its off road or curbs...doesn't matter how careful you are

o.k, ill be sticking to the 22's.

Max 19" for perfect ride.......

Range Rover: No pothole too deep, no kerb too steep. Unless you have 22" wheels.

I'd stick to 19" myself or 20" at a push.
Unless it's for pose factor and you don't care about the ride quality or easy kerb damage.

With 19" you can park next to any kerb with zero danger of damage...... Bliss

hi i run 22"s, they are fine but you do have to watch the road, i would any way even if i had 20"s but i like the look and roads round my way are quite good..so i will be sticking on the 22"s V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

No i think an Escalade or a Hummer with 26s

19s best comfort but 20s best for looks IMHO

from stock 19" i tried 22" but ride was horrible and caused some issues with the air suspension, went to 20" autobiography chromes best of ride and looks imho
