Recently had the PDC fail on my '08 FF when the centre-left rear sensor stopped clicking. It had played up intermittently last winter when it was wet an icy but always fixed itself again after cleaning the sensors and I have read this is normal. However this time it failed and refused to work again. Not having the tools or space to work on it myself I checked it in to the local dealer who soon told me the sensor was fine but the rear PDC loom was corroded and had to be replaced. The loom costs less than the sensor but the labour boosted the price

The staff showed me the damage on the old loom and it looks like it's worn against something sharp, which in turn has let moisture into the cable causing the failure. Thought I'd upload a pic of the damage to give others an idea of what to look for when looking for loom problems.

Hi Folks, has similar problem myself last year, pleasantly surprised at the price of the wiring loom from the main dealer, did the job myself, easy enough, about an hour in total, no special tools, worth a look if you are having parking sensor issues, given how easy it is too do. 0-60 takes 5 and a half seconds...and about 17 gallons of fuel....

Hi, yes had to take off the rear bumber buts it's a very straight forward process. Regards Ed 0-60 takes 5 and a half seconds...and about 17 gallons of fuel....

Is there a front & rear bumper removal process in the WIKI?

I dont think there is, but I know there is a powerful uk video on you tube for the rear bumper.. it really is quite simple.
