With that sort of mileage I think 17k would be on the low side, if the condition matches the mileage then I'd be asking 19.. '08 Audi S6 Avant 5.2 V10 with Milltek non-resonated. Vrrrrrrmmmmmph

Trade in price will be significantly lower than what you'll get privately for it.

Here's what Parker's reckon based on 38k (nice low miles TBH) -

I'd take the Parkers numbers with a pinch of salt, but they're a good guide.

To be honest, condition is everything - and getting lucky with a buyer that wants your car.

I was recently offered £18,750 for my 07MY S/C which has 87k on the clock, I think Parkers said it was worth £18k.

But then part ex I was offered £15k!! Shocked Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Better to start high and gauge interest if you're in no rush to sell.. '08 Audi S6 Avant 5.2 V10 with Milltek non-resonated. Vrrrrrrmmmmmph

I agree with Ally. Start at £19k ono (maybe even £19.5k if your car's a minter).

There can't be many 06 cars with just 38k on the clock.

Is your car a facelift (terrain response) - I doubt it being Feb 06 - I've seen some late 2006 (56 plate) cars with it.

That might be a challenge for you.

Whilst lots of buyers won't even know about the 07 interior facelift and improvements, those in the know will - and so you'll be overlapping in price with cars with terrain response, electronic handbrake etc - albeit ones with higher miles.

Always better to start high, but make it clear you're open to sensible offers. Good luck with the sale! Thumbs Up Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Good luck with the sale, they always go eventually !
Without sounding too negative, 19k for a 55 plate? That sounds a lot of money for a petrol engined car IMO.
Have they taken a jump in price? I thought the petrols were going for less than the diesels because of the economic climate? Or am I getting confused with SC and non SC petrol? Previously..

Well, using Autotrader selling (asking) prices as a guide, it look good value at £19k. Be the cheapest s/c on there with under 40k miles.

Maybe Gary could give you a trade valuation? Graham

The Parkers figures are very close to CAP but the market is crazy at the moment and full CAP is not being acheived. Main Dealers are offering £2-3k less on PX deals.

Worth an initial punt though. Thumbs Up

£18.25k ono - car is getting checked over by indy LR later this week to make sure it's all ok before selling. Been trouble free motoring for me & a great engine to drive.
