Petrol every time. I'm absolutely sick of arriving at meetings stinking of Satan's urine. No matter how careful there's always a pool of diesel on the floor waiting to soak into the leather soles of shoes, get trodden into carpets yadda yadda. Diesel belongs in tractors.

Besides, around town there won't be a lot in it as far as consumption goes.

I just love this comment and for 1 there is no way my pockets are deep enough and 2 as an ex lorry driver I have has more than my fair share of Satan's Urine Rolling with laughter spilled all over me ... I have had the mikey taken out of me because I totally refuse to buy a diesel car of any decryption as I cant stand the smell of the stuff and I suppose I am lucky in the sense that I cant work due to disability and I don't go very far so buying the 4.2 supercharged was a no brainer for me ....... mind you in the week I had the car before it went to Cam-Tech-Craig the computer was telling me it was averaging 9.5 to the gallon Rolling with laughter and thats about all I can say on the subject Laughing

I have a SC and I agree that any FFRR is meant as a cruiser not a sportscar so as such I dont really boot it that often .... but when there is some chavvy dickhead at the lights or behind me desperate to get past the 'slow 4x4' its nice to open her up and Censored them off.

When the next fuel panic occurs, diesel always runs out. Best go for the Supercharged and then look smug filling up. Thumbs Up 10MY TdV8 Ipanema Sand

The market has spoken. It says diesel.

Supercharged anyday. Just sold my noisy SDV8 this week. The only good thing about a diesel RR is seeing the computer show a range of 500 miles plus rather than the 295 miles on a petrol. 2015 RR SDV8 Vogue SE

I have a diesel, don't really have a problem. I visit Tesco once a fortnight, forecourt is immaculate, nothing to stand in and I put the fuel in the tank not on my pants. The pumps are co located so visiting once a week might result in more fuel on my shoes but again it's not a problem I have ever experienced ran diesel Mercs and Audis for years.

You petrol heads need to wake up and smell the coffee Shocked and stop going to Censored garages with fuel on the floor that it would appear deep enough to paddle in. Rolling with laughter Geoff

I may well be an overly gentle driver but I get up to 430 mile range showing on my supercharged when I fill up. Think I chose the right engine Cool

If you're driving it like that why did you get the supercharged?

Either way you can drive normally and boot when necessary as the SDV8 4.4 is not exactly sluggish watch-out 4.2 SC boys as only fractions of a second in the 0-60 time and same top speed....

Unless you have the 5.0 Whistle
