SDV8 vs Supercharged

Just a question.

For urban driving with driving to the country about once every week, which would be better?

Thanks. Very Happy

Petrol every time. I'm absolutely sick of arriving at meetings stinking of Satan's urine. No matter how careful there's always a pool of diesel on the floor waiting to soak into the leather soles of shoes, get trodden into carpets yadda yadda. Diesel belongs in tractors.

Besides, around town there won't be a lot in it as far as consumption goes.

You'd still get Diesel on the soles of your shoes when filling a Petrol anyway as the nozzles are right next to each other! 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

Not at our local station Wink Completely separate pumps. Thumbs Up

And no man servant either sadly. He resigned saying it was too much work cleaning all those shoes. Rolling with laughter

More seriously though, I never had all these mess issues when I was running my petrol Discovery 3, and the driving feel was a lot nicer. I've had both diesel and petrol and the fact I'm looking to trade my TDV8 for a Supercharged is the best evidence I can provide. I just don't like diesel.

If you can afford to buy and fuel either, drive both then decide. Lucky you. If economics are a concern the L405 SC will be more expensive on fuel and insurance. 2019 D5 HSE Lux SDV6 Indus

If economics didn't matter (i.e. the company pays for the fuel or by magic/luck I'd become very rich) I'd go for the SC, otherwise the SDV8 would probably make a bit more sense. If range is an issue (when I'd use it for my overland trip) then the SDV8 again Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Angel is actually right, diesel exhaust and fuel stink to the high heavens. Petrol is not half as bad. So the Dutchie agrees with the German, how odd Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
