So, as the title says, what do you lovely guys and girls achieve from the 4.4 V8 Petrol on a regular basis?

4.4 BMW or JLR unit?

I had a 4.4 BMW until recently and got between 14-17mpg on mixed driving and up to 22mpg on a steady motorway run if my speed wasn't excessive.

Can't comment on the JLR unit, though. Si. <This is my name.

15-17 mpg is usual. A touch more on a run. Based upon 50000 miles.

Ignore the computer, mine routinely said 21 mpg. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

Not sure why the 4.2 SC has such a bad name for economy .... I get what most ppl get on the 4.4.
