I've read your post, I've had a really good look but can't seem to find the back plug, someone on an older post said that if the white plug is open and free then I'm missing the loom/harness required

It initially appears like your car may not be prewired, though to be fair, the microphone harness wiring seems to be the hardest bit to do if thats the case, and you have that already, so you may just be missing the extra loom from the boot area - along with the bluetooth antenna lead, as you suggest.

Sorry one more Question ! On your car was the 54 pin plug attached further down in some way to the white plug? Or was your white plug open/unused as mine is? 2003 Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black |

I can't see an unused white plug in the back of my car. Can't follow the cable properly as I've re-routed it and tie wrapped it out the way.

CCFJ1 - thanks for offering to make a loom for me - i have had another look in the boot to see if i can locate a mic pick up to see if I need the extra Mic loom too- and to be honest i'm struggling to find what looks like a mic plug.

No problem.
OK, good so far.
OK.
Hmmm, I'm by no means an expert on the RR mate, do the wires (at least 3 of them) match up with the mic wires in the roof?? Also does the car have a pair button located anywhere on the dash/console? (not the MFSW). If this plug has 5 wires, then it is possible that this could be the pair and mic loom/pins. if it is then this would make sense and be possible to use.
OK, good.
Hmmm.
Not sure, I would expect that the mic would have 3 or 2 wires at least. The Mic lead must go somewhere and the logical place would be the boot so it would be near the phone module, its the only thing that makes any sort of sense. Does the 5pin plug have any of the same colour wires as the mic plug (in the roof), can you do a continuity test if it does. |
