Do not think so but it should be listed on your chassis number on the LR system so you could call any dealer and ask them to look up if it has been done , but you also need to make sure the car has been told that it has the new battery.

1 / The software update did mean that 11MY on cars only runs PH for approx 14 Mins , which i think was and is a joke as it will not warm the cabin in that time or de-ice the car.

Technically illegal in UK to leave a car running while un attended and in fact last year my wife got a knock at the door at 6.30 in the morning with a bobby standing there having a go at her lecturing her about the dangers to pedestrians / environment and the risk of theft etc etc. He could have ticketed her then and there but he said this time he would let her off with a warning...but next time !!

Why would you not??? Are you jealous cos petrol's dont have it? I dont have a garage and, as I live in Manchester, I cannot leave the car running unattended! Park heating is fantastic! In winter I get out of the shower and turn it on with the remote. By the time I get into my car its toasty warm and fully defrosted. It would be madness not to use it! Fleagle, there is clearly a problem with your car. It could be the battery (seems unlikely), alternator not charging correctly or a current drain. Either way, it should be possible to diagnose (and not with a bloody computer - a multimeter and electitrical knowledge should do it) You should be able to use the park heating function as intended - LR need to fix the car. You may wish to put your complaint in writing and threaten returning the vehicle under Sale of Goods act. If this all seems too much, I'd consider taking it to a specialist auto electrical place - I bet they can find the problem Good luck getting it fixed! 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car! |
