I dispair with our 'computer says no' society - there is clearly a problem with the car!

The problem is that the computers only give you a limited (very limited) amount of information. It is up to the mechanics/engineers to determine what the problems are. I have found that most of the time the computer gives you just a small hint but that the problem is determined by good old fashioned thinking and help from the FFRR forum

There is a set of functions that monitor battery voltage that can be changed or disabled. Wiggs on the disco forum disabled his on his new disco4 after my suggestion of adjusting it down

I think you might be missing the point entirely here , the Fuel burning heater should be regarded as a vital pice of car safety AND environmental protection .

Just checked my battery and it is a AGM battery with 90AH rating. Its an Exide make with jaguar Land Rover logo.

Just checked the old one fitted to my 2006 4.4 petrol (I still have it in teh garage as it was holding charge - I must throw it out now.) And that was a Varta Lead Acid battery and it was 110 AH
