Android Help

Just updated my Samsung Galaxy S2 to Jelly Bean OS - F***ING HATE IT BY THE WAY! but I suppose I'll have to get used to it.

Anyway I use the stock browser (Oh yea, thanks Google for removing Flash support by the way - genius move, but I've managed to get that back by way of a hack) - I use www.google.co.uk as my homepageand am signed into my google account but for the life of me I cannot get the damn thing to stop saving my searches

This is what I mean, anything I search for gets remembered and I have to manually clear it each time - I've checked all the privacy settings in googles account and told it till I'm blue in the fingertips not to record searches but it just will not stop.

Its not a google thing either, its something specific to android as I had this issue once before and took me bloody ages to find it in the phone but for the life of me I cant remember what it was

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

I think it may be a Google setting. I just tested it on my S3 and it came up with searches I have done on my desktop. Not a clue though where to set it but will have a look around Wink

Try going into settings then click on advanced sync settings and then untick omnibox history.

By the way, I love the Galaxy range and my S3 has Jellybean. No complaints whatsoever. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Its specifically a phone logging issue, my desktop PC is also logged into my Google account and does not remember any searches atall and checking google settings from within the phone also confirms web history is off - I've managed to kill it in the past but I've got a feeling it was by toggling off 'use web history' in the google search app - an option that is no longer there in JB Sad
