hi everybody, i have an intermittent problem, no i don't need viagra before someone makes a comment, no and again after starting the engine the steering has gone stiff, but if i turn the engine off and restart its all ok. have any of you guys had any similar issues not the viagra ha ha. or is this an early warning to something nasty Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

Most likely the servotronic valve needs replacing (Reasonably cheap) but it can be a few other things too.

The re-starting solution indicates a sticky valve. I have similar on my 2004 touchscreen facelift and keep meaning to swap out the Servotronic Valve.

Plenty on here to search and digest on the issue.

I think the Valve is about £80 and should be 30-60 minutes at an Indy.

mine has done this on and off for the last 2 years.
also when unlocking with remote sometimes front doors
unlocks, rears dont. start car and unlock all doors via
dash lock, steering then goes stiff and have to restart.
given up worrying about it now. another rr quirk

hi gaz, it can be very intermittant, sometimes perfect for
2/3 months then plays up for a few days. is the bcm
a pricey job.

I think its only about £90/100 and cannot be that much to fit/replace but I am not sure.
