Yes Reading (Lancaster - part of the Jardine motors group). Second time I have used the dealership in 7 years and found them consistently good. They have a good range of demonstrators and decent used stock. The reason I went back to Lancaster is the Salesman -Alastair Peacock - who is truly outstanding. He really knows the product he is selling and no question or task is too small - he researched how I could change the vents in the bumper from body colour to the colour of the aluminium strip running the length of the car - came back quickly with a number of competitive options. I also kept changing my order - even after it was closed - and he always managed to get it through. His advice on spec. was perfect - I would not have bought winged headrests but Alastair was right - if you only get one option, that's the one to have! Alastair is always working- Wednesday, when he spent hours organising emergency transport for my car from compound to dealer, was actually his day off and when I was changing the spec. he was on vacation for the week but popping in (seemed to spend more time in that on holiday).

Companies often manage to build a strong client support culture - I just don't know if that is the case here as I only deal with Alastair - he is brilliant.

Alastair, if you are reading -Thank you. If Alastair's bosses are reading - promote him and make sure he actually takes some holiday - do not lose him. Geoff

Re "winged headrests - if you only get one option, that's the one to have!"

What is so wonderful about these, for £400? I don't spend much time sleeping while driving....is it just for passenger comfort or am I missing something? Currently spec'ing my build and I can see lots of things ahead of this option for me on the list. Norman

That's where my wife's FF came from, they were the only dealer prepared to do a test drive on the weekend and that secured them the order

Ours was built a week last Friday took LR a week to release it to the dealer and then 3 days to get it delivered and PDI'd picked it up yesterday

How long did you have to wait after placing an order?

Was ordered in early feb, with a build slot Lancaster already had allocated with land rover - so about 10 weeks from order to delivery - other garages as well as not being able to do test drives also couldn't deliver for 11 months

Car is great buy the way

Wow that's quick. Did you have a deposit down before Feb or do you get preferential treatment with this dealer? I don't want one before next March anyway but a few dealers I have spoken too are not that interested as they have sold all their cars for this year.

Re. Winged headrests - one for the passengers really - could comfortably sleep with them without your head rolling around - they make the car truly luxurious.

I ordered in jan and got my ff this weekend. Talk to Alistair - he's great.

Two days of ownership now - car is fantastic. Geoff

I think I will be giving him a call because I am not impressed with the lot I have a deposit with. Given you guys seem to be getting cars with only a few months wait it can't be long now before there are some discounts around?
