Ours was built a week last Friday took LR a week to release it to the dealer and then 3 days to get it delivered and PDI'd picked it up yesterday |

Mine was built last Tuesday but isn't arriving at my dealer until Monday (so nearly 2 week transfer time).

I heard that delays on cars leaving the factory are often due to issues that need sorting out - quality control I guess. In the back of my mind I worry that delays of more than a few days imply significant problems or a large backlog of vehicles with smaller problems. Given land rovers reliability reputation seeing either scenario before the car has even left the factory is disconcerting.

It might be a good thing, they're not letting any issue get to the dealer, or even worse, the customer. maybe we'll get jaguar like quality. |

Mizengeo, was at the dealer yesterday, my lower tailgate didn't function properly so they fixed it with a piece that was ordered. Apparently a software update was done as well...

Still no car despite it supposed to have been delivered last Friday. Apparently it has been in quality control as the factory have run out of parking sensors (!), of which mine had 2 faulty ones.

Personally I'd reject it and request another to be rushed through and built. The fact it has taken this long implies significant issues at the factory. All parking sensors will have been tested before they left their manufacturer and therefore, for you to have two faulty ones, it implies something else isn't quite right. |

My 2010 "disappeared" at the factory after build for a week or so. When I went to take delivery it had clearly had rear end damage that had been badly repaired so make sure you do a thorough check. I rejected mine a reordered it. |

Picked it up today. Wow. Incredible car and very happy. Dealer very apologetic but frankly the delay at the factory wan't in their control and despite problems loading software they did turn it round from arrival with them to delivery to me in less than 48 hours. Salesman spent half his day off on Wednesday organising special collection of the car to speed delivery. I'm happy! Geoff |
