Ah, that would be the laws of supply and demand. There are many more diesel cars than petrol so the companies charge more for it. Like us consumers have a choice |

Happened a few years back when petrol prices started to rise. Many people realised diesels where more economical. So lo and behold the government raised the price of diesel. Fewer people bought petrol so they had to claw it back somehow. Amazes me how some of these people sleep at night, same people that ordered an enquiry into fuel price fixing. Guess what??? The government department found no evidence of unfair fuel pricing massive shock!

Well over here the Government is charging tax over tax over tax on the net fuel prices driving up the prices and filling up their pockets. For petrol the price per liter consists for 60% of tax and for diesel about 51% of the liter price is tax... Rediculous!!! Mike.

You're all getting reamed by the government under the motto "cars are soooooo bad for the environment" but reality is, they need the money to cover their deficits !!!
