I was thinking of replacing the foam in my drivers seat as the side has collapsed just slightly. I thought this was going to be a super expensive part...

Stan, is there any chance of a write up on how to replace the foam / sensors? I'm curious to know how to get the seat cover off so I can put a new foam in.

Perfect timing. I have been thinking about getting my car into an upholsterer to get them to rebuild the seat. But thanks to dan_uk_1984 I have now ordered a new squab foam.

Yeah did it last night. You just need to take the side trims off and peel the leather off. Rather easy although the rings were a pig to fit back on. Seat feels a lot better but unfortunately I scratched the centre console piano black trim

Instead of refitting the rings could cable ties be used instead?

I'd recommend some hog ring pliers (around £12) so you don't have the fun I did doing it with normal pliers. Got the foam from Dan @ Duckworths
