SWMBO has been there a couple of months ago, rented a house in the city center with a couple of friends when they where visiting an event there during the weekend. Every night it was a circus outside, every night the police came in the appartment building because of drunk youths making to much noise and trouble inside as well as putside on the street. Fighting and lots of trouble on the streets... Would suggest you check their isn't a soccer game when you have to visit since that will add to the fun on the streets...

I stayed at a Hotel near the Liver Building and the New Quay area and had a good night out - all very safe and sophisticated in that area.

Don't believe everything you hear - it's one of the safest UK cities, including in respect of car crime (check with the UK Statistics Authority for confirmation).

Where in Liverpool are you going? I live over the water and I've never had an issue. As Gaz said it all depends where you go but the majority is all bullshit! As with all places if you park in a area your at risk! [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]
