Parking in liverpool - factory fit alarm enough?

you may joke but got to visit liverpool this week and never parked there overnight Embarassed if its as bad a place as its made out to be, is the factory fit alarm enough to deter any tracksuit wearing scrotums?

Or is it worth pulling any of the fuses to be double safe?

SWMBO has been there a couple of months ago, rented a house in the city center with a couple of friends when they where visiting an event there during the weekend. Every night it was a circus outside, every night the police came in the appartment building because of drunk youths making to much noise and trouble inside as well as putside on the street. Fighting and lots of trouble on the streets... Would suggest you check their isn't a soccer game when you have to visit since that will add to the fun on the streets...

As suggested, take the train and leave the car at home!! I would... Very Happy Mike.

I stayed at a Hotel near the Liver Building and the New Quay area and had a good night out - all very safe and sophisticated in that area.

Not sure you can label ALL of Liverpool as a dangerous crime scene!

Agree... It will depend on where you need to be and when and that counts for more city's these day's...

Mrblonde, check in the area where you need to be if there is a secure parking or google the neighborhood... Sure that will give you some more information on what to expect and if you may expect some troubles or not. Mike.

Don't believe everything you hear - it's one of the safest UK cities, including in respect of car crime (check with the UK Statistics Authority for confirmation).

The Liverpool One car park is clean, covered and secure (and was full of Range Rovers the last time I was there).

Where in Liverpool are you going? I live over the water and I've never had an issue. As Gaz said it all depends where you go but the majority is all bullshit! As with all places if you park in a Censored area your at risk! [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

You shouldn't be too bad in crosby to be honest.

Stick to the normals, leave NOTHING on display that would looke shiney or attract any attention of fling it in the boot an as and keep the boot cover over and you should be fine. If its clean as well it will look less likely as a target. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Glasgow, didnt that used to just be called the Gorbles or something Wink

As for the 'pool' as long as you don't have your own bricks to prop the car up Laughing you should be fine in most parts. I've only ever had one problem after a night out but left many a decent car there during nights out Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
