One other line of defence is your local haulage firm. They have all the facilities to jetwash the underneath of trucks and if you get friendly with one of the fitters, for a tenner you can get the underside of your car done. Once a year, after winter salt this is a good thing.

But crawling around on wet driveways with a jetwash in one hand and a scrubbing brush in the other? Takes a special kind of person does that, with "Special" being the operative word.

top tip, dont do the top first as when the underside gets washed it washes the dirt 'up' into the engine compartment... ... - .- -.

Well a quick trip to homebase yielded 2 sprinklers a y piece and some jubilee clips all for about £14. A little bit of fannying around and I managed to get it hooked up to the pressure washer too. The underside of the car is cleaner than any other part!
