I am new to the site, i had my tdv8 2007 vogue serviced on Thursday, today the oil pressure warning light and message came on on idle /low revs. I would like a recommendation of a local quality trustworthy mechanic to sort the problem. Dont trust the last garage and dont want to leave with main dealer. would like a small garge who survive on return/recomened customers.

Check your oil level and dont drive the car until then.

If you only had it serviced on Thursday then, as Katash says, check the oil level and look under the vehicle for signs of oil leaks in case they haven't tightened the drain plug or oil filter.

I would also be contacting the garge who did the service and ask what they intend doing about it, as you've paid for a service and it's not been done correctly. Get your money's worth and then look for someone else for the next service.  

As above really, i own my own garage and would want to resolve this for you FOC if its our mistake... I fail to see how your car left a garage after a service in that condition though... DO NOT DRIVE it if the oil light is on... This is a critical oil level light not just a warning light...

the oil levels are fine , since the oil press warning light started to flicker I stopped and have had the vehicle lifted home waiting for Monday to take it to a recommended garage.
